In this weekend episode, Victor Davis Hanson and cohost Sami Winc look at events in 1942, a tribute to the US military and its innovations under Trump, and we start with a few news stories including the killing of 2 Israelis in DC, the truth about Ramaphosa’s visit, and stories of a whistleblower about the autopen signers.
Audio issues on this one.
Dear Professor Hanson,
I have enjoyed listening to your commentaries for some years now. Thank you for taking the time to do it.
With respect to not flying any more, I would like to suggest an alternative to flying that will still enable you to travel the country. If you have see the movie “Green Book” you already know what comes next.
I will happily chauffeur you around the country in the vehicle of your choice. You probably won’t be able to book as many engagements as in the past, but I guarantee you an enjoyable and at times festive journey!
You will need to write us. It sounds like it might be your computer settings. However, send a picture and explanation to [email protected] and I will see what I can do.
Two questions, looking for your clarification. We are clearly not going in for Afghanistan or Iraqui type occupations. But there are some comments about America supervising the aid delivery to the residents of Gaza. Isn’t this going to lead to Americans being attacked? Or do you think the idea is to start moving the residents out, far away from the Israeli border? Libya has been mentioned.
Another comment I’d wish you include is that the cost of missiles to shoot down drones can be low, as you said, but it is vastly more than the cost of using lasers to shoot down drones. One Israeli engineer, when asked what it cost to use a laser to shoot down a drone, (which the Israelis have done successfully), paused, and answered “27 cents”. I asked my physicist husband: he said sure, it’s just electricity. Please, for the sake of those otherwise neutral souls who think that somehow we are not benefitting from our investments in Israeli technology, check and repeat that estimate.
I’m concerned no one will be ever be held accountable for using Biden’s presidency power to push through an anti American agenda. The pardons signed by auto pen, the millions of illegal aliens into our country, NGO’s funded by our taxes to transform our country (because they couldn’t do it with legislation) As happy as I was when Trump was elected president he can only do so much. I really wonder what VDH predictions are for after Trump leaves office. Do we go back to status quo?
I dearly enjoy the audio podcasts and listen to every one.
There has been a degradation in the audio quality, choppy sounding with drop outs. These are frustrating when hanging on to Victor’s every word.
I am a retired audio professional and I will donate high fi gear or maybe even fine tune Victor’s existing gear. No charge. I live in CA and will happily drive it over and set it up.
In case there is some concern that I am a nut job I will confess that Victor knows me and I have shaken his hand, the hand of a farmer.

Sincerely,
Your articles do not appear correctly on my iPad, they do not fill the screen. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Thanks
I and all of the other subscribers get Victor’s wisdom through audio podcasts. When Victor says, “And the British went like this in North Africa”, we haven’t got a clue as to what he is talking about. Not whining; I understand the video is better. Please remember us audio only patrons.
Is there anyplace that I could order (not a kindle version) of the End of Sparta?
